Carl J. Stahlman, 57, an auto mechanic, died Saturday (Feb. 17, 2001) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
Stahlman was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
He worked as a mechanic at several local auto dealerships. He won awards for his work at the former Pat Dillon Volkswagen, Amendola Volkswagen and Granville Volkswagen.
Stahlman was also a mechanic for Northtown Toyota, Amherst, and a service manager at local Dodge and Plymouth dealerships.
He also had several sidelines. He was a wedding photographer and sold hang-gliders for a time.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Ventry-Stahlman; his former wife, Joanne of the City of Tonawanda; a son, Keith, known as "Keifer," of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Kristin MacIntosh of St. Catharines, Ont.; his mother, Anna of Niagara Falls; a stepson, James A. Priester of Erlanger, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Denise Salada of Niagara Falls; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Otto Redanz Funeral Home LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road. Burial will be private.
