Stanley J. Rutkowski, a former Hooker Chemical and Plastics Corp. employee, died Tuesday (Feb. 13, 2001) in St. Mary's Manor. He was 89.
Rutkowski was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Holy Trinity School and Niagara Falls High School. He attended Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo.
He lived in Ransomville before moving to St. Mary's Manor.
Rutkowski had worked in the meter department at Hooker Chemical. He loved playing musical instruments, especially the violin, and he enjoyed entertaining people when he played.
Rutkowski is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Mielcarek of North Tonawanda, Anne Kuczwanski of Niagara Falls and Julia Stybeck of Tonawanda, and a brother, Chester of Niagara Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1419 Falls St., after prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
