"Music @ the Gallery," a new series, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Adams Art Gallery, 600 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The program will feature classical guitarist James Piorkowski.

Folk/acoustic artist Jerry Raven will perform on the Caffeine Florentin series at 5:30 p.m. in Florentin Artists Studios, 385 Franklin St. The performance will be followed at 7 p.m. with open mike hosted by Jim Iarocci.

Zodiaque Dance Company will open performances of "Ripples Too," featuring guest choreographers and Zodiaque alumni Jody Dombrowski and Robert Villaneuva, at 8 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Drama Theatre, UB North Campus, Amherst.

The regional premiere of "A Lesson Before Dying," by Romulus Linney, adapted from the novel by Ernest J. Gaines, will open at 8 p.m. in Studio Arena Theatre, 710 Main St.

"Shakespeare - Abridged," a comedy featuring versions of all 37 Shakespeare comedies, tragedies and histories, will be opened at 7:30 p.m. by the Garret Theatre Players, Garret Theatre, St. Bonaventure University.

Also on Stage - "Pageant," 7:30 p.m., MusicalFare Theatre Company, Daemen Theatre, 4380 Main St., Amherst.
