Renovated Marilla Library reopens
Marilla Free Library, which had been closed for extensive renovation work since December, has reopened.
The primary purpose for the remodeling project at the library, 11637 Bullis Road, was to make it more accessible to handicapped patrons. Other changes included revamping the office and circulation areas, modifying and building some shelving and carpeting the first floor area. An open house celebration will be held April 4.
A Valentine's gift from the heart
If you're looking for something different to give to a loved one for Valentine's Day, Univera Healthcare's Buddy Check 2 program might be a valentine that could save a life.
A special outreach program from Univera Healthcare and WGRZ-TV, Buddy Check 2 is a breast cancer awareness program that provides information to women in Western New York and encourages them to work together for early detection.
By calling (800) 254-3045, an individual can obtain a free packet of information regarding breast cancer. The packet also includes a special addition for Valentine's Day, a large pink heart sticker that says "Because I Care. . . ."
