BOHN WINS HIS OWN EMPIRE STATE OPEN

Parker Bohn III became the first person to win his own tournament, capturing the Professional Bowlers Association Tour's Parker Bohn III Empire State Open on Sunday.

Bohn, of Jackson, N.J., defeated Chris Barnes, 210-187, in the title match.

Bohn, who earned $20,000, now owns 26 PBA titles, tying him with Dick Weber and Don Johnson for fifth on the career list.

The win was Bohn's second of the year -- he won the National Bowling Stadium National/Senior Doubles, at Reno, Nev., with Rohn Morton in January. He has won at least one title a year for five consecutive years.
