Nettie Marie Mascott, a machine operator for the Carborundum Co. during World War II, died Friday (Feb. 9, 2001) in St. Mary's Nursing Home after a long illness. She was 102.
The former Nettie Perrusse was born in Niagara, Wis., and had lived in Niagara Falls since the 1930s. She was a resident of the nursing home since 1988.
Mrs. Mascott was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its Altar & Rosary Society.
She was the widow of Leo Mascott.
She is survived by two daughters, Eloise Shira and Clarissa Kopenski, both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Lucille Cosoletto of St. Catharines, Ont.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, following prayers at 9 in Rhoney Funeral Home, 901 Cayuga St., Lewiston.
