Margaruite G. Kieser, 83, of Cheektowaga, died Thursday (Feb. 8, 2001) in St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Margaruite Meister in the City of Tonawanda, she attended local schools. She was a member of the Daughters of America, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Friedens United Church of Christ, the social club of the Jewish Family Center and Father Gunther Senior Citizens. She had served as a Girl Scout leader in the City of Tonawanda.
Mrs. Kieser enjoyed gardening and flower arranging, as well as travel, cooking and bingo.
Her first husband, Albert Runge, died in 1960.
Survivors include her second husband, Albert J. Kieser Sr.; two daughters, Grace Stone and Jean Hewitt, both of of North Tonawanda; a stepson, Albert J. Kieser Jr. of Cheektowaga; a brother, Maurice Meister of Arlington, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 22 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Sauer-Lynett-Amigone Funeral Home, 1933 Kensington Ave. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
