Anthony F. Manne, 81, of the Town of Tonawanda, a retired warehouseman, died Friday (Feb. 9, 2001) in Sisters Hospital after a long illness.
A graduate of Burgard High School in Buffalo, he was an Army Air Corps corporal during World War II.
After the war, he worked for the Clinton-Bailey Market as a sales representative for Leo Bachner Produce. In 1977 he went to work for S.M. Flickinger as a warehouseman, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 558. He enjoyed bowling and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Frances Velocci; three sons, Ronald of Cincinnati, and James and Michael, both of North Tonawanda; a sister, Bridget Manne of Buffalo; and five grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda, followed at 10:45 by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Kenmore. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
