ERIE COUNTY 4-H members are taking orders for cookies and candy through March 16 to raise money for their clubs and other 4-H programs, according to Shirley Tulowiecki, sale coordinator.

She said 11 cookie varieties are being offered for $3 per package. The cookies range from chocolate-covered mints to peanut butter cremes.

The 4-H program provides out-of-school educational programs for boys and girls 7 to 19 years old. For information or to order cookies, call the Erie County 4-H office at 652-5400, Ext. 131. Cookies also can be bought at the Cooperative Extension Center, 21 S. Grove St., East Aurora, or from 4-H members. . . .

IT'S ABOUT TIME -- Paul Pietrak, a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and author of five books on Western New York railroads, will discuss "Early Timekeeping" at a meeting of the Orchard Park Historical Society at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the downstairs meeting room of the Orchard Park Municipal Building on South Buffalo Street.

The emphasis of his talk will be 18th- and 19th-century wooden clocks, according to Mary Ann Gravius of the Historical Society. She said the meeting is free and open to the public. . . .

FISH DINNERS will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in Cleveland Hill United Methodist Church, 546 Eggert Road, Buffalo. The tab will be $6.50 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12 and free for diners 4 and younger. Call 833-6376 for reservations. . . .
