GARDEN NOTES

The Garden Club of the Tonawandas will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of Tonawanda City Hall. The topic will be pruning trees and shrubs.

The Hamburg Garden Club membership tea will be at noon Wednesday in the Hamburg Community Center. New members are welcome.

The East Aurora Garden Club will meet at noon Monday in St. Matthias Episcopal Church. The program is titled "For the Birds."

The Western New York Iris Society will meet from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Christ Methodist Church, Saratoga and Harlem roads, Snyder. The program is titled "Wildlife and the Garden."

The Niagara Frontier Orchid Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bassett Manor Adult Residence, 245 Bassett Road, Amherst. There will be a beginner's meeting at 7 p.m. to discuss various potting materials.

The Kenmore Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Kenmore United Methodist Church on Landers Road, Kenmore. There will be a program on preparing for a flower show.

The Forest Stream Garden Club will hold its installation dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the University Inn, 2402 N. Forest Road, Amherst.

The Ken-Sheriton Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 576 Delaware Road, Kenmore, for election of officers and a slide presentation on nature photography.

The Alden Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Alden Community Center, 13116 Main St., for a program on African violets.

The Lancaster Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Municipal Building on Broadway and Central Avenue, for a program on formal table arranging.

The Eden Garden Study Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eden High School for a program titled "Valentines for the Home."

The Cinderella Isle Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Timothy's Church, 1453 Staley Road, Grand Island, for a program on the mechanics of floral design.
