Charles E. "Ed" Cochran, 78, formerly of the Town of Tonawanda, died Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2001) in his Bucyrus, Ohio, home after a long illness.
A native of Coal Run, Ky., Cochran was employed by Allied Chemical Corp. in the Town of Tonawanda for more than 40 years. After his retirement in 1985, he moved to Ohio.
He served with the Army Air Forces during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Janet J. McKee; two sons, James of Pikeville, Ky., and Ronald of the Town of Tonawanda; two stepdaughters, Christy Rapp of Bucyrus and April Hollis of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; two brothers, Boyd of Pataskala, Ohio, and Paul of Peoria, Ariz.; a sister, Mearl Higgins of Westerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Elmlawn Cemetery Chapel, 3939 Delaware Ave., Town of Tonawanda, followed by burial.
