Tickets for U2's May 31 concert at HSBC Arena go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Arena box office. A handbill policy is in effect, meaning tickets will only be sold to those with handbills, available in advance from the box office. The tickets are $130, $85, and $45. For more information, call 855-4100.
U2 has requested that no seats be used on the Arena floor. A general admission, or "festival" seating policy will be used, meaning those who get there first will be closest to the stage.
The use of festival seating has raised some safety concerns, although other acts, including the Grateful Dead and Phish, have used a similar seating policy in the past.
"Safety is always a priority for both the band and SFX," promoter SFX said in a prepared statement. "We consider the audience, the venues and the entertainer prior to setting the seating configuration for any tour."
