SHEILA LUTHRINGER GRIMALDI, SCIENCE TEACHER

A memorial Mass for Sheila Luthringer Grimaldi, 50, of Coral Springs, Fla., a science teacher and former Buffalo resident, will be offered at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 in St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 1974 Seneca St.

Mrs. Grimaldi, who was born in Buffalo, died of cancer Jan. 11, 2001, in Hospice by the Sea , Boca Raton, Fla.

She graduated from Mount Mercy Academy in 1968 and received a degree in biology from Canisius College in 1972. She received a master's degree in biology education from Buffalo State College in 1974.

Mrs. Grimaldi started teaching at Blanche Ely High School after moving to Coral Spring from Buffalo in 1986. She taught anatomy, biology and forensics and was one of the lead instructors in the school's magnet program.

She became ill in 1997 and worked on and off over the last four years.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Mike; two daughters, Melissa and Jill; and a son, Mark, all of Coral Springs; her parents, Eugene and Theresa Luthringer of Buffalo; three sisters, Mary O'Rourke, Lisa Carroll and Kaileen Luthringer, all of Buffalo; and four brothers, Gregory, Jamie, Kevin and Eugene Luthringer Jr., all of Buffalo.
