New Penn Motor Express, a Pennsylvania-based trucking company, has opened a larger local terminal on Transit Road in Williamsville.

New Penn built the new terminal to accommodate its growth in the region in recent years, particularly to and from Canada. The new site has 55 doors, replacing a 25-door terminal located nearby.

The company employs about 50 people in Buffalo, but didn't add any jobs as a result of the move, said Steve Ginter, a spokesman.

"It gives us the opportunity to grow, which will lead to more jobs in the future," he said.

New Penn has more than 2,000 employees companywide and is a subsidiary of Arnold Industries.
