Barbara Grace Walker, a longtime industrial nurse, died Jan. 28, 2001, in her home after a brief illness. She was 87.
Born Barbara Hastings in Niagara Falls, she attended schools in Pennsylvania and was a graduate of New Kensington High School and the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, both in Pittsburgh.
She worked for a time for the Aluminum Co. of America in New Kensington, Pa., and then worked for many years as an industrial nurse for the former Bell Aircraft in Wheatfield.
Mrs. Walker was a former member of Epiphany Episcopal Church of Niagara Falls and had been a member of the Industrial Nurses Association. She liked to cook, read and do needlework.
She was the widow of Donald.
Mrs. Walker is survived by two brothers, George J. Hastings of Franklin, N.J., and Richard D. Hastings of Liberty Hills, S.C.; and three sisters, Ruth M. Neville of Memphis, Tenn., Doris H. Lindsay of Hendersonville, N.C., and Ann H. Thurkauf of Lancaster, Pa.
Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ont.
