PROSPECTUS WAS GOOD, BUT DON'T IGNORE ARTS

My compliments to The News on its Prospectus 2001 supplement. Each section presented an optimistic look into Western New York's rebirth. However, there was no mention of the arts. We have an extremely active arts community, and have hosted premier cultural events that have drawn national attention.

The "Herd About Buffalo" project was a fine demonstration of how art can generate spirit in all areas of interest. Let's maintain a level of optimism. Include the arts as a source of growth, stability and enrichment when planting the seeds of our future.
