A Buffalo man was sentenced Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to serve up to seven years in prison for selling drugs in Olean.
Samuel D. Jackson, 48, of Zenner Street pleaded guilty to two counts of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on May 4 in Olean.
District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said Jackson will serve concurrent terms of 2 1/3 to seven years for each count.
In other cases, Edward N. Goodrich, 35, of Salamanca was sentenced to a year in jail and fined $3,500 for his guilty plea to driving while intoxicated Aug. 15 in Salamanca.
Eric E. Sisson, 20, of Olean was sentenced to nine months in jail for his guilty plea to probation violation.
Sisson was sentenced to three years' probation in 1998 for fourth-degree criminal mischief and probation violation by failing to maintain a job and pay for drug testing.
Jesse J. Skiver, 23, of Olean was sentenced to six months in jail for his guilty plea to probation violation. Skiver was sentenced to five years' probation in Allegany County last year after being convicted of third-degree sodomy and probation violation by not participating in sex-offender treatments.
Richard A. Dornan, 45, of Great Valley was sentenced to five years' probation, including six months of electronic monitoring and six months in a county work program, and fined $5,000 for his guilty plea to driving while intoxicated on April 22 in Humphrey.
Several others entered pleas and will be sentenced in upcoming weeks.
Kenneth Hamilton, 39, of Niagara Falls pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree grand larceny on May 22 in South Valley, where boat parts at a marina were stolen and damaged.
Ricky A. Stell Jr., 21, of Olean pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, Aug. 28 at a house on Indiana Avenue in Olean.
