VIOLET DAVIS NELSON

Violet Davis Nelson, 83, of Erie, Pa., a riveter for Mallory Timers in Warsaw for 25 years, died Saturday (Feb. 3, 2001) in St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, after a long illness.

Born in Holland, she lived in Wethersfield Springs for many years before moving to Erie. She was secretary and treasurer of the former Wethersfield Community Church. She was a former chaplain of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and a former member of the Moose Lodge of Belleview, Fla.

Her husband, Frank, died in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Marian Sawdey of Erie; a brother, Arthur Davis of Lady Lake, Fla.; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs.
