American Ref-Fuel Niagara LLP, which operates an energy-from-waste incinerator in the city, will receive the Company of the Year award from the Niagara Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, the chamber announced Friday.

The honor is one of several to be passed out at the Chamber's 83rd annual dinner March 21 in the Niagara Falls Convention and Civic Center.

American Ref-Fuel will receive the top award based on the company's local investment, employment and community service, according to Chamber chairwoman Joan G. Aul, who is vice president of M&T Bank.

The Chamber will presents its Small Business Award to Hutchins Automotive Supply of the Town of Niagara, for its years of success and community support.

Niagara Falls School Superintendent Carmen A. Granto will receive the Kenneth F. Ford Niagara Award for community service.

Also, Village of Lewiston Mayor Richard F. Soluri is expected to accept a special award to the village in recognition of the recent Center Street improvement project.

The Festival of Lights will give special awards at the dinner to Frank Amendola, Hal Faba, Elaine Meranto and Henry M. Sloma.

Dinner tickets are $50. Reservations may be made by calling the Chamber office at 285-9141.
