Mary Napoli, 81, of Buffalo, a retired CPA, died Friday (Feb. 2, 2001) in Hospice Buffalo after a brief illness.
Born Mary Giancarlo in Robertsdale, Pa., she had lived in the Buffalo area since 1923.
She was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School and Buffalo State College.
She worked for 40 years for Westinghouse Corp. in Cheektowaga as a CPA, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Napoli enjoyed doing tax returns free for people who couldn't afford to have them prepared by a professional.
She enjoyed traveling, fine dining and reading. She and her husband of 23 years, Antonio, also enjoyed exercising by walking in Delaware Park .
She was a member of Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
Besides her husband, she also is survived by two sisters, Ida Tropea of the Town of Tonawanda and Angeline Loftus of Cheektowaga, and a brother, Sam Giancarlo of Hamburg.
Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Dewitt Street and Pooley Place. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
