Dr. Alfred H. Dobrak, 85, a radiologist at both Sisters Hospital and the former Emergency Hospital in Buffalo, died Jan. 26, 2001, in Pompano Beach, Fla., after a lengthy illness. He had lived in Pompano Beach the past 20 years.
He was a native of Buffalo and a 1939 graduate of the University of Buffalo Medical School.
He was an Army captain in World War II serving in the European Theater.
He received his radiology training at the University of Pennsylvania, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Buffalo General Hospital.
He was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1948 and was a member of numerous professional societies. He was licensed in both New York and Florida.
The former Buffalo resident was highly regarded for his teaching ability and was popular with interns and residents.
His wife, Irene, died in June 1999.
Services were held in Pompano Beach. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pompano Beach.
