A kindergartner was killed Thursday when he apparently leaned against a fold-up table in a school cafeteria and it fell on him, a school spokesman said.
Jonathan Cozzolino, 5, died of head trauma, said a Frankford Hospital spokeswoman.
About 120 pupils at the Hamilton Disston School had eaten lunch in the cafeteria just before the accident. Jonathan's class was the last to leave.
Some of the other kindergartners saw the table fall on him, said Paul Hanson, spokesman for the Philadelphia school district.
The table was folded in half and was being stored upright on casters, Hanson said. He didn't know how much the table weighed.
