Carmela J. Angle, 77, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000) in Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The former Carmela Valenti was born in Niagara Falls and moved to Youngstown in 1983.
She was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School, Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Angle worked for the Carborundum Credit Union office in Niagara Falls for 25 years, retiring in 1980.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and playing cards.
Mrs. Angle served as treasurer of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, Cataract Lodge 240. She was a charter member of the organization.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Niagara Falls.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Niccola; three sisters, Nellie Valenti and Grace Fiore, both of Niagara Falls, and Janet "Babe" Valenti of Amherst; a brother, Peter of the Town of Niagara; and two grandsons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, with prayers at 10:15 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
