Marta I. Adams died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) in Niagara Lutheran Home after a long illness. She was 94.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, she was the widow of George Adams, who owned a print shop in Buffalo. He died in 1979. Her first husband, William H. Richmond Jr., died in 1952.
A longtime resident of Williamsville, Mrs. Adams was active in the Amherst Book Club and Amherst Garden Club. She also was a member of the Buffalo Yacht Club and, since 1945, Coterie.
She is survived by a son, William H. Richmond III of Clarence Center; a stepdaughter, Joan Sprunt of Parry Sound, Ont.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St., Williamsville. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
