Jean M. Hogan, 80, of Woodcliff Drive, a former case examiner for the Niagara County Department of Social Services, died Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Jean McKenna in Niagara Falls, she graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended St. Mary's School of Nursing.
She was an examiner with the Social Services Department for 12 years before retiring in 1982.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bridge and traveling.
Her husband, Thomas D. Jr., died in 1975.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas D. III of Lewiston, Michael J. of Atlanta and James P. of Cornwall; three daughters, Kathryn S. of Sanborn, Jean M. Dziewit of Lewiston and Mary Carol Franciosa of Kenmore; a brother, Maurice J. McKenna of Rockport, Mass.; and 11 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. Bernard's Church. Burial was in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
