Myrtle K. Bebee, 86, a retired teacher, a pastor's wife and a former Buffalo resident, died Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) in her home in Salisbury, Md.
Born Myrtle Kaefer in Buffalo, she marred the Rev. Arthur Franklin Bebee in 1938 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Christian education from Anderson (Ind.) College in 1941.
She wrote Sunday school lesson plans for Anderson Church of God for many years, then taught fifth grade in Federalsburg, Md., and Salisbury.
As a member of the Women of the Church of God in Anderson, she served in various offices on the state and national levels.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Richard F. of Salisbury, Douglas K. of Indianapolis and David A. of San Francisco; two sisters, Marion Kaefer Bebee of Lockport and Mildred Kaefer Schwalenberg of Orchard Park; a brother, Alfred Kaefer of Colden; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Duells Cemetery, Old South Buffalo Road, Orchard Park.
