EXHIBIT ROLLS THE PAST INTO PRESENT

No parading Nazis or pipe-puffing British spymasters this time. Television's History Channel has a new project to "bring history alive" -- American history, that is -- with a coast-to-coast traveling exhibit.

The vehicle is the "Time Machine," a 48-foot semi-trailer jammed with historical exhibits, interactive games and even some real artifacts -- such as a tuft of Nebraska sod-house sod and a box of the brand of English tea that tax-hating colonists dumped into Boston Harbor in 1773. The exhibit will tour the contiguous 48 states over the next year.
