Anna S. Marcinko, who retired from the Carborundum Co. after working there for 30 years, died Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 84.
Miss Marcinko was born in Winburne, Pa. and came to Niagara Falls as a girl after attending schools in Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
She enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling.
Miss Marcinko worked at the U.S.L. Battery Corp. on Highland Avenue for a few years and then worked in accounts receivable for the Carborundum Co. here.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Cataract Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Carborundum Co. Athletic Association and 25 Year Club.
Survivors include three sisters, Elsie Bushnell of Glendora, Calif., and Frances P. Sojka and Betty Sdao.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary of the Cataract Catholic Church, 259 Fourth St., following prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
