Services for Robert W. Bresien, an accountant, were held today in Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Orchard Park.
He died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000) in Sisters Hospital after suffering a heart attack the previous week while working at the Alzheimer Association's annual Memory Walk in Delaware Park. The Orchard Park resident was 71.
He was a 1946 graduate of Orchard Park High School and a 1952 graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He served two years in the Army.
He worked as a certified public accountant for Ernst & Ernst accounting firm and then spent nearly 25 years with Marine Midland Bank. He retired from the bank as a vice president in 1990 but continued to work and was a senior accountant with the World University Games in 1993 and most recently worked as an accountant for the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York.
He enjoyed camping and boating with his family and was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Bowling Green Falcons.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Patricia Conklin; two sons, Timothy of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Gary of Loveland, Colo.; and a daughter, Gretchen Bresien, also of Loveland.
