Pearl Marie Smith, 76, of Corvallis, Ore., a former Buffalo resident, died Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) in Heart of the Valley Nursing Home, Corvallis, after a lengthy illness.
Born Pearl Marie DeBoi in West Seneca, she was a graduate of South Park High School. In 1946, she married Harry Smith, a vice president of Loblaws.
They lived in West Seneca and North Boston until 1971, when they moved to Illinois. After living briefly in California, they settled in Corvallis in 1976.
A homemaker and mother of four, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, bowling, playing cards and sewing.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Glenn of the Town of Boston and Wayne of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sandra Grzeskowiak of Corvallis and Susan Moran of West Seneca; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Corvallis.
