Donald L. Bundy, 79, a longtime resident of Elma, died unexpectedly Sept. 6, 2000, while visiting family in California.
Bundy was born in Ridgewood, N.J., and graduated from Ridgewood High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1942 from Cornell University.
During World War II, he served with the Army Air Forces in Alaska's Aleutian Islands.
He and his wife, the former Betty Sigman, lived in Elma for more than 35 years.
He was employed by Siegfried Construction Co. in Buffalo for 34 years. After he retired in 1981, he and his wife moved to Venice, Fla., and later to Hudson, Ohio.
After the death of his wife, he married Jane Brown in 1999 and moved to Atlanta.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna Loefler of Indiana and Beth McKeown of Ohio; a sister, Doris Loomis of Scottsville; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Elma United Methodist Church, 2991 Bowen Road, Elma.
