Defending champion Johnny Petraglia averaged 235 pins for nine games to take a 63-pin lead after the second round of the PBA's Columbia 300 Senior Open in Naples, Fla. The PBA Hall of Famer had an 18-game total of 4,129. Gary Dickinson was second, followed by Roger Workman (4,046), Phil Barnes (4,045), Steve Lickliter (3,950) and Barry Gurney (3,936).

Three Western New Yorkers were in the top 24 after two rounds of the $100,000 PWBA Brunswick World Open in Newnan, Ga. Cindy Coburn-Carroll of Williamsville, is 12th with 2,423 pins, Liz Johnson of Niagara Falls is 14th at 2,418 and Michelle Frank of Grand Island is 22nd at 2,391. Kendra Cameron leads at 2,563.
