The Newstead Planning Board has recommended that the Town Board approve a major subdivision on Dye Road and agreed to start the state environmental quality review process.

Planners meeting recently discussed details of the proposed project with Galen and Barbara Weaver and reviewed drainage issues. Don Hoefler, a member of the Planning Board, said the elevation of the buildings was labeled incorrectly on the original site plans.

The recommendation was made on the condition that the original site plan be amended to read "elevation at perimeter of building" and not "first-floor elevation."

In another matter, planners recommended Town Board approval of a minor subdivision on Pohl Road, with a condition that a drainage plan be submitted for review by Donnal D. Folger, the town's code enforcement officer.

Officials noted that they would write a letter to attorney Duane Root requesting an easement on Sublot 1 for maintenance work on a creek.
