Simply Charming, for ages 5 to 10, includes lunch and introductions, conversation, appearance, table manners, invitations, thank you notes, telephone etiquette and how to be a good housemate. Cost for a three-hour session is $65.
The Interview, for girls 10 to 16 years of age, focuses on appearance, dating, job interviews, hospital and funeral home visits and restaurant manners. Cost is $95.
Golf Etiquette, for youngsters, teaches sports etiquette and social skills. Cost for a two-hour session is $75.
Personal Best (839-9012) offers classes at 3653 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, in a refurbished, brightly decorated house.
Classes, which are small, include: Manners and Modeling ($195 for six one-hour classes), Pre-Teen, Advanced Pre-Teen. Some of them focus on public speaking, creative drama, auditioning, job interviewing, public speaking, interpersonal skills, performance.
"Today's Teen" (639-7511) is a personal development course for teenage girls designed to enhance inner strength, beauty and social graces. An eight-week course taught by Julie O'Connor begins on Oct. 7. There will be classes for girls ages 10 to 12 and 13 to 15. They will be held in the Dodge-Hopkins Professional Center, 1660 Hopkins Road, Amherst. Cost is $295.
