MaryJane Bacote of Buffalo, who worked for several years in the nursing field, died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000) in Sisters Hospital. She was 66.

The former MaryJane Booze was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and was 11 when her family moved to Lackawanna. She lived for most of her adult life in Buffalo.

Mrs. Bacote moved in 1978 to Neptune, N.J., where she worked in the nursing field until her retirement in 1994. She returned to Buffalo a few years ago.

Survivors include six daughters, Edyth F. Finley of Atmore, Ala., Lisa N. Booze of Asbury Park, N.J., and Ella L. Booze, Rosalind J. Hampton, Ingrid Booze and Demetria C. Bacote; a son, Vincent C. Booze of Longbranch, N.J.; a brother, Bodie Booze Jr.; three sisters, Mary Chandler of Tuscaloosa, Ernestine Williams and Shirley Hardy; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon Monday in True Bethel Baptist Worship Center, 907 E. Ferry St.
