Bob Knight doesn't get it and probably never will.
While giving us his side of the story on ESPN, the attitude that led to his firing was still evident.
Midway through the interview he admonished Jeremy Schaap by saying "You have a long way to go to be as good as your dad (Dick Schaap). You better keep that in mind." If this is the way he treats the son of a friend of 40 years on national television, what can we suspect of his behavior towards a "disrespectful" student on campus?
If the young Schaap were of a similar ilk as Knight (I mean Mr. Knight), he could have told him that he had a long way to go to become the man his son Patrick is.
Eleven years later, Pete Rose is in denial. I suspect Bob Knight will be in denial, as well, for the rest of his life.
