The recent ceremony honoring the Buffalo Bills' 1965 American Football League Championship team was all very fine. It did, however, bring to light one serious omission that the team's ownership continues to make to this day: the name of Lou Saban on the Wall of Fame.
Saban remains the only individual to coach a Buffalo team to a major league championship -- two, as a matter of fact. He also resurrected the career of O.J. Simpson and, more than any other person, started this area's love of the Bills. With Lou Saban's name, a huge hole in the Wall of Fame would be filled, but at age 79, time may be growing short to give Saban this long overdue honor.
