Ron Slomba Jr. has never been happier to be in desperate need of a baby sitter.

Slomba, a Sardinia resident, won first prize in SUPER JINGO 958. The prize which includes a trip for two anywhere that JetBlue flies in the continental United Sates, plus $500 cash.

"Myself, my father, sisters, brothers, we all play. We've been playing for years," he said. "This is the first time any of us have won a top prize."

Slomba, an automation repairman for Ford Motor Co., and his wife, Traci, recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. They have three children, Ronald, 8, Matthew, 7, and Katelyn, 1.

"Hopefully my mom and dad will take them when we go on this trip," he said.

The Slombas will fly on JetBlue Airways' fleet of brand-new Airbus A-320 aircraft, enjoying free satellite TV at every seat as they travel to their destination, which might include New York City; Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, West Palm Beach or Fort Myers, Fla.; Los Angeles; the San Francisco area; or Salt Lake City.

Pauline Funnell of Hamburg: computer work center with an Office Star deluxe task chair.

"This is great," she said. "Now I just have to get the computer."

A longtime SUPER JINGO player, Funnell has won tickets in the past to Darien Lake and Marineland. She is a receptionist/bookkeeper at Beckes Optical & Hearing Aids.

Kathy Comeau of Buffalo: two tickets to four Philharmonic concerts.

She was pleasantly surprised to hear the news on the other end of the phone.

"I thought the school principal was calling," she said. "I haven't been to the Philharmonic since high school."

Comeau is in sales at Ellicott Decorating.

Don and Sharon Kurek of West Seneca: two tickets to four Studio Arena plays.

Kurek is a part-time administrative assistant at Earth Watch Waste Systems.

Rose Muffoletto of Buffalo: dinner and theater tickets.
