Former Syracuse players Ryan Blackwell and Jason Hart have become the first two college teammates to go 1-2 in the 16-year history of the Continental Basketball Association draft.
The Gary (Ind.) Steelheads, an expansion team, made the 6-foot-8 Blackwell the No. 1 pick in the CBA draft earlier this week. The Idaho Stampede selected Hart with the second overall pick.
Unlike Blackwell, who is certain to report to Gary's training camp, Hart may not play with the Stampede. The 6-5 point guard was a second-round pick of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks and will compete for a roster spot with point guards Sam Cassell, Lindsey Hunter and Rafer Alston.
