Phyllis Summers Mount, 69, a former secretary in the Niagara Falls Social Security office, died Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) in Crestwood Health Care Center after a long illness. She had been a patient there for about four months.

The former Phyllis Barone was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948.

She worked for many years as an executive secretary at the Social Security Administration, retiring in 1994.

Mrs. Mount was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Niagara Falls. She enjoyed antiques, crafts and children.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; three sons, George of Long Island, Frank L. of Seldon and Robert of Akron; two stepsons, Rev. Jeffrey of Lewis Center, Ohio, and David of Farmington; a stepdaughter, Grace Anne Jones of Powell, Ohio; a brother, Louis Barone of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Louise Harlan of Emporium, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls.
