The Buffalo Blizzard announced the signing of National Professional Soccer League veterans Travis Roy and Dewan Bader to multi-year contracts.
Roy, 26, was the NPSL's rookie of the year with the Detroit Rockers in 1997-98. Bader, 29, was acquired from Detroit to complete an earlier trade.
A forward, Roy played 67 games with the Rockers and five with the St. Louis Ambush, scoring 39 goals and 29 assists for 104 points. He did not play in the NPSL last season.
In six seasons as a defender with three teams, including the 1996 champion Cleveland Crunch, Bader scored 39 goals and 53 assists for 141 points.
