LILLIAN R. PAPIN

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian R. Papin, a former clerk for the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library, will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 565 East Park Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in St. Alphonse Cemetery, Tupper Lake.

Mrs. Papin died Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2000) in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a lengthy illness. She was 84.

She was born Lillian LaCombe in Tupper Lake. In 1957, she moved to the Town of Tonawanda.

She worked for the Erie County library system for 11 years.

She was a member of St. Timothy's Church, its Altar and Rosary Society and Ladies of Charity. She also was active in the Town of Tonawanda Senior Citizen Center.

Her husband, Lawrence, died in 1970.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean Benware of the Town of Tonawanda, Judith Sinclair of the City of Tonawanda and Bonnie Wolanski of North Tonawanda; a son, Robert of North Tonawanda; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
