Curtain Up! 2000 kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with "Act I: The Mayor's Prologue." The catered dinner will be held in the Theatre District's Market Arcade. The Lovin' Spoonful and The Association will join forces for a 7 p.m. concert in Rockwell Hall Auditorium, Buffalo State College, 1300 Elmwood Ave.

Scott Carpenter and the Real McCoys will play in Mohawk Place, 47 E. Mohawk St., at 11 p.m.

Global Dance Party, sponsored by the Council for International Visitors and the Buffalo Council on World Affairs, held in conjunction with the Curtain Up! celebration, is 5:30 to 10 p.m. in La Luna Nightclub, 48 W. Chippewa St.

Amherst Saxophone Quartet's Tribute to Marcel Mule will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 724 Delaware Ave.
