The Perfect Girlfriend
The Perfect Girlfriend isn't a bore

boasting about her great golf score

her perfect bridge game bids

her rich and successful kids.

Her grandchildren's photos

remain at home

and videos of her vacations

are hers alone.

She doesn't send me a Christmas

letter which brags

or tells me about her Gucci bags

or designer clothes.

She won't share her woes.

The Perfect Girlfriend

locks her mouth with a key

unless of course, she's

inquiring about me.
