June Elsenheimer, apartment manager for E&M Properties of Gasport, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 66.
She was born June Hammond in Buffalo and was a graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School. She moved to Gasport in 1946 from North Tonawanda.
She married Jesse D. Elsenheimer on Aug. 4, 1956, in Orangeport Congregational Christian Church.
She was owner and operator of Kandi's Koffee Kup from 1978 to 1985. She also had been apartment manager for Jesse and June Elsenheimer Apartments and worked as a proofreader for the Lockport Union Sun & Journal.
She was a member of Covenant United Church of Christ and Myrtle Rebekah Lodge 84 of Lockport. She also was an Orangeport Rangers 4-H Club leader.
Mrs. Elsenheimer enjoyed flower arranging and gardening.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Derk; a daughter, Kandi Mathews; her father, Lester Hammond; two brothers, Lloyd Crosby of Lockport and Harold Crosby; a sister, Doris Gaskill of Dundee, Mich.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main St. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
