Creighton Gubanich led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a home run to left field as Indianapolis beat Memphis, 3-2, in the Triple A World Series in Las Vegas.
Indy starter Rafael Roque pitched eight solid innings scattering six hits and striking out five. Bob Scanlon (1-0) picked up the win in relief.
The Indians take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, and can clinch the title today. Allen Levrault is the scheduled started for Indy while Memphis will counter with Clint Weibl.
