Mary R. Dallavia, who lived in three centuries, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000) in Schoellkopf Health Care Facility, where she had been a patient for the past two years. She was 100 years old.
The last of eight siblings, she was born Mary R. Maschio in Genoa, Italy, on Nov. 19, 1899. She arrived in Niagara Falls in 1925.
For much of her life she was a self-employed seamstress, working in her home.
Mrs. Dallavia enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing bingo.
Her husband, Pietro, died Nov. 23, 1973.
Survivors include a son James F.; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 14th Street and Pine Avenue, after prayers at 10 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
