Brighton Volunteer Fire Company in the Town of Tonawanda has elected its officers for this year.
The officers are chief, Patrick Langenfel; first assistant chief, Robert Sanford; second assistant chief, Paul Meyer; and ladies auxiliary president, Susan Stendahl.
Officers for the fire company, which manages the finances, are president, Walter Byers; vice president, Keith Makey; secretary, James Sanford, sergeant at arms, James Mooney; financial secretary, F. Peter Casey; and treasurer, James Weinreber.
During the installation of the new officers, Donald Connolly, past chief, and Firefighter Kenneth Schwartz were recognized for rescuing a man from a fire on Overbrook Avenue in October. Casey was recognized for his years of service to the fire company and town, county and state associations.
