SLIDING-CAR CRASH INJURES TWO

An Ashville woman suffered neck and chest injuries Saturday when the car she was driving south on Hammond Hill slid down the hill due to the slushy road surface, striking another vehicle, Cattaraugus County sheriff's officials said Sunday.

Terri Cumbie, 19, of Ashville and a passenger, Tim Harvey, 21, of Cattaraugus, were taken by ambulance to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville. The driver of the second vehicle, Paul Glow of East Otto, was not injured.

Harvey was treated in Bertrand Chaffee, then released. Cumbie was transferred to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, where she was treated, then released.
