SESSION TONIGHT BEGINS BUILDING-IMPROVEMENT SERIES

A series of fact-findings sessions is being held in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District as officials try to determine what types of building improvements are needed.

With help from two local architectural firms, the district is doing a building-by-building assessment as well as meeting with parents and other residents to learn the specific needs of each school.

The district hopes to put together a school building repair and updating plan that would be heavily financed with state aid.

The first of the fact-finding sessions with parents and other residents will be held at 7 tonight in Holmes Elementary School, when the architects and school officials meet with people interested in Holmes, Roosevelt and Hoover elementary schools.

The schedule for subsequent meetings during the week is:

7 p.m. Tuesday in Franklin Elementary School, for parents and residents interested in Lindbergh, Franklin, Edison, Hamilton and Jefferson elementary schools.

7 p.m. Wednesday in Hoover Middle School, for those interested in Franklin Middle, Hoover Middle and Kenmore Middle schools.

7 p.m. Thursday in Kenmore West High School, for those interested in Kenmore East and Kenmore West high schools.

A second set of meetings for the same schools will be held in March, following this schedule:

7 p.m. March 14 in Kenmore East, for those interested in Kenmore East and Kenmore West high schools.

7 p.m. March 15 in Kenmore Middle School, for those interested in Franklin Middle, Hoover Middle and Kenmore Middle schools.

7 p.m. March in Edison School, for those interested in Lindbergh, Edison, Hamilton, Jefferson and Franklin elementary schools.

7 p.m. March 21 in Roosevelt School, for those interested in Holmes, Roosevelt and Hoover elementary schools.

The meetings will include presentations by Ken-Ton school administrators and the architectural firms working with the district. The meetings will also include question-and-answer periods.
